A Short But Sweet Interview With Angelina Jolie

A Short But Sweet Interview With Angelina Jolie

imnotobsessed.com - I guess Angelina Jolie wasn't in the mood to get too chatty when Us Magazine asked her several questions while she walked the red carpet for the 'Salt' premiere.

On possibly playing Cleopatra: "I would be honored, but we haven't gotten the script yet."

On filming 'Salt': "I had a great time being her. She is so many different people."

On whether or not her children will watch this new movie: "I can't show my kids movies where people are trying to kill me."

On whether or not Brad Pitt enjoyed the film: "He liked it."

I guess she didn't want to give them too much to run with considering they bash her relationship on a weekly basis. These celebrities HAVE to take it personally - don't you think?

Top 9 Badass Angelina Jolie Movies

Angelina Jolie, Laura Croft Tomb Raider Paramount Pictures

We know you're stoked for Salt, Angelina Jolie's new spy-thriller opening this week, right? What we love about Jolie is that this butt-kicking action business is nothing new for her—the sexy superstar has spent nearly 15 years making a name for herself taking rebellious roles.

She may have "changed" in recent years, trading her wild ways and unique blood-bearing red carpet style for a more refined (momma) role in real life. But this busy beauty's kept one thing constant: her badass behavior on-camera.

To prove it, we've put together a gallery of the Top 9 most badass Angelina Jolie movies ever. Dig in and let us know what should be No. 10! (eonline.com)

Salt Director: Casting Angelina Jolie Went From "Outrageous" to Brilliant

Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Knight and Day, Angelina Jolie, Salt
Frank Masi/20th Century Fox; Columbia Pictures

You all know by now Angelina Jolie's new flick was originally moving forward with Tom Cruise. So how did the script land at chez Jolie-Pitt and how was Angie convinced to actually do it?

Said the Salt star at Monday night's premiere about why she was ready to "get out of her nightgown" and get back to work after a year off:

"I hadn't seen a film where a woman had done...I had done a lot of action movies but none that were based in reality. So it was such a big challenge, [people] weren't sure it could be pulled off. Anytime someone questions if something can be pulled off, it's hard not to want to try."

Angelina Jolie's Salty Bloody Trip to the Hospital

Angelina Jolie (Sony picture)

eonline.com - Making Salt was a real headache for Angelina Jolie—literally.

An accident toward the end of the shoot left a bloodied Jolie taking a trip to the hospital.

How bad was it? We'll let Phillip Noyce, director of the action-packed spy flick, explain…

"She took a dive with all the velocity that she needed to, but there was a TV monitor in her way and she collided with it and hit her between her eyes," Noyce told us last night at the movie's black carpet premiere in Hollywood.

"That's a moment when you don't know what to do or think until you get the report from the hospital. You know, you hit yourself right there and it looks like nothing but it could be something much worse."

Jolie recently told Nightline that the injury interrupted shooting. "I returned the next day with this big bandage on my head, they had to paint it (the bandage) out," she said. "I tried really hard to do my fight scenes and a few minutes in, they were like, 'You're really not fighting very well,' so they sent me home."

Noyce admits he doesn't know if Jolie had to be stitched up. "I'm not sure if she got stitches," he said. "When she came back, the makeup artist had done such a good job covering it up."

Meanwhile, Noyce also said Jolie and beau Brad Pitt's kids visited the set often. "But she never let the outside get in the way of the work," he said. "She's totally focused."

I have more Salt for you. Make sure to come back here later on to find out about plans for a sequel.

Angelina Jolie: Thigh Tattoo is "For Brad"

Adding to the collection of ink on her body, Angelina Jolie admits that her newest tattoo is for someone very special.

In a sit-down interview with MTV News, the “Mr and Mrs Smith” actress coyly responded, “Ohh, it’s for Brad” when asked what the inner thigh tat was all about.

Jolie and Brad Pitt have been a couple for over five years and when asked what makes a relationship successful, Angelina responded, "I actually think it's important to be completely honest, however difficult that may be. I'm bad at hiding secrets anyway."

Jolie’s latest action flick “Salt” hits theaters later this month on July 23. (Celebrity Gossip)

Angelina Jolie gets heart tattoo for Brad

Take a look at Angelina Jolie pictures and other free celebrity pictures. We've got a huge collection of celebrity hairstyles pics, actors, actresses, singers and more.

Angelina Jolie has got an intimate tattoo for Brad Pitt.

The 'Salt' actress - who raises six children with her partner of five years - already has an array of body art and has now added a heart on her inner thigh to show her love for the Hollywood heartthrob.

When asked about the inking, Angelina replied: "Um, it's for Brad."

Although she refused to give any more information on the design, she admitted it probably won't be long before she does, admitting to MTV: "I'm bad at hiding secrets."

Angelina also defended four-year-old daughter Shiloh's sense of style after she recently revealed the blonde-haired tot likes to dress as a boy.

The 35-year-old screen beauty - who also has Maddox, eight, Pax, six, Zahara, five, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad - said: "Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth.

"I think Shiloh is fascinating, the choices she is making. And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting."

Speaking previously about Shiloh's fashion sense, Angelina said:

"Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style. It's how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes regular suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers." (celebrityrush)

Slim body keeps Jolie away from workout

celebscrash - Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says she's always been naturally slim and doesn't really need to workout.

"I really don't workout. I've always been kind of slight and I've always loved to run and jump around and be physical, so action roles are not a huge challenge for me. I enjoy them," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

Jolie revealed that during filming the first "Tomb Raider" movie, she was given a special diet plan to make her feel healthier.

"It was such a challenge physically. A special diet also helped me shape my body. I ate steamed sea bass or steamed beef and vegetables and I had no sugar and only drank soy milk.

"I'm all for curves on a woman and feeling sexy. I never felt healthier or stronger than during the filming of this movie," she added.

Angelina Jolie Is Bored With Acting, Considering Retirement

Angelina Jolie

Maybe you’ve heard? Angelina Jolie has this new movie coming out this month called Salt in which she wears a lot of wigs and jumps from a lot of trains. It’s precisely the type of mindless popcorn flick that summer was invented for. But if you ever want to see Angelina on the silver screen again, you’re going to have to act fast because she now claims she’s retiring from it all:
Jolie who has six kids with her partner Brad Pitt, reveals she’s growing tired of acting and might not “do it much longer.”
She tells Vanity Fair magazine, “It’s (acting) not the most important thing in my life. Acting helped me as I was growing up. It helped me learn about myself, helped me travel, helped me understand life, express myself, all those wonderful things. So I’m very, very grateful, it’s a fun job. It’s a luxury… But I don’t think I’ll do it much longer. Because I have a happy home… I got back from work last night, and everybody was playing music and dancing and I suddenly found myself dancing around with a bunch of little fun crazy people.”
Raise your hand if you believe a word of this?

Mostly this rings hollow because IMDb shows not only does she have The Tourist in post-production, but she has the Kung Fu Panda sequel and a movie about Cleopatra lined up next, plus the months of required press junkets that these projects will entail nearer to their release dates. And that’s just the stuff she’s already signed onto. In February, author Patricia Cromwell told the L.A. Times that Angelina had called her to express interest in fast-tracking a movie based on her Kay Scarpetta crime novels, in which Angelina would play the medical examiner main character. And Angelina is also reportedly in talks to star in a Ridley Scott-produced retelling of the 1995 murder of fashion CEO Maurizio Gucci.

My point being: She’s the most famous and in-demand actress in the world. She readily admits that acting has been her golden ticket to becoming a rich, powerful, well-traveled, fully actualized person. So it seems to me that if she wanted to spend more time with her family, she would have started saying no already. (deceiver.com)

Ange learnt to fly as gift

Angelina Jolie. AFP

Angelina Jolie learned to fly as a birthday present for her son. The actress — who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt — took pilot lessons after realising how much her eldest child, Maddox, now eight, enjoyed watching planes go by.

She explained: "When Maddox was one and a half, we used to go to the airfield, have lunch and watch the planes. And it dawned on me: I could fly. So I promised him I would fly by his second birthday."

The 'Salt' star admits she loves boarding a plane alone as it is the only time she gets the solitude she craves.
She added to Vanity Fair magazine: "It's the only place I'm completely alone — up in the air, detached from everything.

"Brad loves the technical aspects. He loves the checks, loves all the maths. I'm terrible at the maths, but I love that I can go anywhere and have that freedom. He's more patient. I tend to drive it to the ground."

Angelina Jolie is Salt, and Awesome

Between her great humanitarian work and bogus celebrity gossip items dominating headlines, it's been awhile since we've seen Angelina Jolie, you know, in a movie.

While an increasingly rare sight, the glitz and glamour of the red carpet sure suit the actress well, as she proved when she stepped out to promote her newest film.

Here's Angelina at the premiere of Salt ...

In Mexico with her four eldest kids to promote the summer action movie, she looked as fabulous as ever, leaving us hoping this is just the beginning.

She recently told Vanity Fair that she doesn't plan on acting much longer so that she can focus on family. An admirable sentiment, but we'd miss her!
